I am Jonathan Denby, a writer and journalist. Welcome to my blog.

I have been based in New York City for over nine years. During this time, I have worked both as a freelance journalist and in the magazine industry covering mainly health issues. I have written on diverse subjects ranging from diseases to terrorism to travel destinations. I have had the pleasure of interviewing many interesting people such as leading health specialists and former Army intelligence operatives. I am also a card-caring member of, and hold credentials from, the National Writers Union (UAW Local/ AFL-CIO) and International Federation of Journalists (IFJ).

My real journalistic passion, though, is in the realm of international issues—mainly conflicts, natural disasters, diplomacy, peacemaking, humanitarian issues, international law, and other geopolitical issues.  I also love to travel and write about my experiences abroad.

I have decided to create this blog in order to bring my own stories directly to the public. I have also decided to “open” my blog to contributors—fellow artists, writers, journalists, critics, photographers, etc… This way, the blog will always have fresh content and will present a wide range of interesting material and diverse perspectives.
